About Us

Hi, I’m Chris Gooding, an upholsterer serving the Richmond and Barnard Castle area. My upholstery journey began back in 2015 when I moved up from Essex to Yorkshire. I got a job on the cutting bench of a large upholstery company specialising in restaurant seating, where I learned the craft hands-on and honed my skills in both domestic and commercial furniture.

After being furloughed for six months during COVID in 2020, I decided it was time to follow my passion and take the leap into self-employment. Since then, I’ve been offering expert upholstery services for all kinds of furniture—from your favourite domestic pieces to commercial seating and even campervan or caravan interiors.

I take pride in reviving furniture with quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, giving each piece a new lease of life while keeping your style and comfort in mind.

Excitingly, I’m also launching an online store soon, offering a curated selection of headboards, ottomans, and soft furnishings to bring beautiful, handcrafted pieces directly into your home.
